Why We Need to “Find” Those in Need

  • The 2022 Greater Cincinnati Health Needs Assessment listed effective communication strategies around the charitable pharmacy model as a top priority to improve community health, especially for those impacted by social determinants of health.
  • The 2019 Kentucky Health Issues Poll found the following:
    • 30% of low-income Kentuckians have delayed care for health conditions due to cost
    • One in three low-income Kentuckians have gone without prescribed medications due to cost

How We Ensure Everyone Knows

Our goal in Northern Kentucky is to ensure no one goes without life saving medications due to affordability. Here’s our plan to bring awareness to the help we can provide:

  • Strengthen awareness amongst healthcare providers through strategic partnerships, training, simplified processes and streamlined access to resources
  • Develop and distribute brochures and flyers to partners who interact with populations likely to need assistance, such as churches, social service agencies, schools, employers and others.
  • Develop direct marketing for non-English speaking individuals
  • Create targeted social media campaigns focused on populations most likely to need assistance
  • Invest in targeted bus advertising to raise awareness amongst the working poor and others using public transportation.
  • Simplify and streamline our website.

We believe the sustained efforts of these initiatives, as well as others in development, will significantly increase awareness amongst those in our community who are most in need of our services.

How You Can Help

There are three primary ways you can help.

  1. Spread the word to friends, neighbors, employers, church leaders and others about the work we do. You can use our simple flyer or print your own brochures (English, Spanish, French).
  2. Connect the pharmacy to other leaders in the community who may be able to help spread the word. Use our connect form to get in contact with our Executive Director.
