November is American Diabetes Month! Once a week during the month of November we will be posting facts and information about diabetes.
Diabetes is one of the leading causes of disability and death in the United States. It can cause blindness, nerve damage, kidney disease and other health problems if it’s not controlled.
1 in 10 Americans have diabetes-which is more than 30 million people. Another 84 million adults in the United States are at a high risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.
Stay tuned next week to see how people who are at high risk of diabetes can lower their risk!
